SPIRIT NOTES
The nose was a bright, springtime experience of floral perfumes, honey, battenberg cake, key lime pie and mojitos. The palate was rich, full-bodied and delightfully sweet, with Turkish delight, black forest gateau and brandy snaps with freshly picked raspberries and cream; the finish combined cinnamon and dark chocolate. The reduced nose picked up French patisserie aromas, sherbet lemons, barbecued bananas, coltsfoot rock and cinnamon toast. The palate now encompassed pears and lemon curd, brown sugar, chocolate hazelnut spread and hard caramels, with a finish of sugar-coated fennel seeds, cinnamon and clove. Our general impressions were of sweet satisfaction and citric deliciousness.
