Slap On Sunscreen And Slow Down

SPIRIT NOTES

The nose was summery and relaxing – cantaloupe with ginger and maraschino cherry, jelly babies, hints of lemon and mint, almond nougat and sunscreen applied at the beach. The palate gave us a lick of liquorice and a dab of sherbet, zingy lemon zest, unripe figs, green melon, crystallised fruits, banana bread with walnuts and ginger and oak to finish. The reduced nose offered lime marmalade, boiled sweets, stone fruits and a squeeze of lemon. On the palate, we encountered fruit salad with exotic fruit (peaches, custard apple, monstera), gooseberry jam, pain au chocolat – and lastly lingering tingles of fruit skins, leather and walnuts.
