SPIRIT NOTES
Charred oak aromas arrived in barrel loads before the spicy sweetness of rye whisky merged with toffee, nougat and vanilla custard. Darker notes of black forest gateau, bitter chocolate and navy rum combined before big and spicy flavours collided on the tongue. Corn whiskey and bourbon now immersed black cherries, marzipan and red liquorice in syrup and coconut ice cream. A dash of water delivered marmalade on sponge cake with a glass of Tokaji wine, herbal tea and melon. American whiskey returned on the palate but now with a dash of Cognac, banana skins and maple syrup on popcorn.
