SPIRIT NOTES
On the nose, the fruitiness of roasted pineapple and bananas flambéed in rum is complicated by monkey nuts, green peppercorns, nettles, pine and olive oil cake. The palate is curiously layered, with a superstructure of white grape juice, mango, lime and white chocolate, while underneath (and lingering longer) are found earthier flavours of toasted oak, tequila, nutmeg and cinnamon. The nose freshens up with water – to freeze dried strawberries, lemon balm, sugared grapefruit and fresh laundry. The palate still has its layers – pear juice and grapefruit overlaying a forest floor of fresh resinous oak, cumin schnapps, eucalyptus and Victory Vs.
