SPIRIT NOTES
This is a beauty – the nose is a stroll through sunny flower meadows and hedgerows, to a picnic of lemon drizzle cake, millionaire shortbread and cinnamon buns, then lighting sandalwood incense at sundown. The palate is juicy, fruity and floral – apricots, peaches and brandy-soaked pears, violet creams and iced gems, with ginger biscuits lingering on the finish. The reduced nose introduces purple fruits (black grapes, plums etc), new hessian sacks and beech nut chewing gum. The palate is chewy and well-balanced between lovely sweet flavours (maple candies, apricot Danish) and light fruity astringency; then clove rock and a scintilla of leather.
