Heather-Smoked Rocky Road

SPIRIT NOTES

A delicate smoky scent like smoked honey mint chip ice cream or roasting smoked sweet potatoes made this a real pleasure nosing neat. There was more smoke to be found on the palate but still a lovely balance between fruity flavours such as oranges and lemons and that all-embracing delicate sweet smoke. Following the addition of water, we encountered heather smoked almond rocky road crunch bars and grilled a lemon pepper steak on the barbeque before enjoying a cocktail called ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ made of peaty whisky, lime juice and pure cane sugar syrup and garnished with a mint leaf.
